The Cold Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce shares space with the Cold Lake
Visitor Information Centre. Nestled in the southern section of Cold Lake, Alberta,
the centre is located near the south entrance of town. After you pass the welcoming
Cold Lake Sailboat on Highway 28, it’s a short drive north until you reach our location.
Location & Directions
The city of Cold Lake is ~170 km north of Lloydminster, and 300 km north-east of Edmonton
To reach the Cold Lake Visitor Information Centre in the southern section of the town, take Highway 28 heading north-east
Once you’ve passed the welcoming sails on Highway 28 heading 1km northbound, the Cold Lake Visitor & Information Centre will be located on the service road on the east (right side) side of the highway

Rent The Visitor Centre
The Visitor Information Centre at the Cold Lake Chamber is the perfect venue for your business event or special occasion. Ideal for board meetings, seminars, and grand openings, our venue offers the perfect event rental space in a convenient location at the foot of Cold Lake.
With space for up to 50 guests, it’s also the perfect spot to host a special occasion (baby or wedding shower, birthday, anniversary, or retirement).

Camping in Cold Lake
Whether you want to tent camp or find the perfect spot to hunker down in your RV, Cold Lake has several options for you.
Cold Lake M.D. Campground
The Cold Lake M.D. Campground is the ideal spot for a family vacation.
With 71 powered sites, tenting and overflow camping, power hookups, flush toilets, picnic area, playground, beach volleyball, soccer, coin showers and laundry, a lookout platform, firepits, firewood sales, sanidump station, beach access, and a swimming area, the Cold Lake Campground has everything you’d want for a camping vacation.
Open May 14 to September 6.
Online and phone reservations open on April 1.
Reservations calls are taken between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until the campground officially opens on May 14, when extended hours will be maintained.
Cold Lake Provincial Park Campground
For those looking for a more private camping spot, Cold Lake offers that as well.
At the Cold Lake Provincial Campground, there are sites with power and water hookups, walk-in tenting sites, and a group camping site. Enjoy canoeing, sailing, and wildlife watching, or walk along the campground’s sandy beach, all the while surrounded by forest and enjoying time at one of Northern Alberta’s largest lakes.
